Services

Individual Therapy

Individual therapy provides us with an opportunity each week - away from the distractions of the every day world - to work together towards you feeling better. Sessions are 50 minutes in length and occur usually on the same day and time of each week.

If you are located anywhere in the state of Maryland, we can meet virtually via computer or phone, or we can meet in person OUTDOORS. If we meet outdoors, we meet near downtown Bethesda, MD. We can walk, hike, sit in nature, shoot hoops, or strength train.

Group Therapy

Group therapy provides you with an opportunity to be a part of a community of people all working towards personal growth and/or struggling with a similar issue. Groups are either formed around a particular topic that all group members have in common or are general “process” groups that focus on the process of improving our interpersonal relationships.

Group sessions are 1 hour and 15 minutes in length and occur on the same day and at time of each week.

I am currently forming a “New(ish) Moms Support Group” for moms who have one or more children under the age of 4. This group does not have an end date; it is open-ended, providing support each week for group members as long as they would like to participate.

Presentations and Courses

Sports Psychology:

This course introduces youth ages 14 and up to the fundamentals of sports psychology that affect their athletic lives. It is both educational and experiential; participants learn about a variety of sports psychology concepts and learn practices to improve their “mental game” such as meditation, yoga, and mindfulness. The course can be offered in person or virtually weekly, and it can be modified to last anywhere from 6 - 15 weeks.

Mental Prep for Parenthood:

Our hospitals are great at teaching new parents how to physically care for babies, but they don’t prepare parents for the potential mental changes, relationship changes, cultural biases, and physical problems that can come with parenthood. This presentation covers these topics so parents can feel better prepared for the rollercoaster of parenthood.
