Welcome

Relationships - of all kinds - can be hard. Life changes and circumstances too. There’s stress. Anxiety. Sadness. Panic.
You want to understand yourself more, for certain relationships to be easier, to get unstuck, or to figure out a way through change. You just want to feel better, and working with a therapist can help.

Offerings

Individual Therapy

Individual therapy provides us with an opportunity each week - away from the distractions of the every day world - to work together towards you feeling better. Sessions are 50 minutes in length and occur usually on the same day and time of each week. If you are located anywhere in the state of Maryland, we can meet virtually via computer or phone, or we can meet in person OUTSIDE. If we meet outside, we meet near downtown Bethesda, MD. We can walk, hike, sit in nature, shoot hoops, or strength train.

Group Therapy

Group therapy provides you with an opportunity to be a part of a community of people all working towards personal growth. Groups are either formed around a particular topic that all group members have in common or are general “process” groups that focus on the process of improving our interpersonal relationships. Group sessions are 1 hour and 15 minutes in length and occur on the same day and at time of each week. Please contact me for more information about groups I run.

What clients are saying…

About me

Hi. I’m Jess. I hope you experience me as someone who is on your team and cares about you unconditionally. I hope you’ll find that I listen well, ask good questions, and provide meaningful insights and concrete strategies for dealing with life’s stressors.

I hope you feel you can share your thoughts and feelings with me, and that you enjoy laughing with me when laughter proves to be the best medicine. I hope you regard my presence as warm and caring even when I invite you to look at something in a new way. I hope you view me as LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC affirming.

Your Therapist Team

To help support you as best as I can, I consult confidentially with a team of three other therapists every week. We call ourselves “Your Therapist Team.” We discuss issues related to client care, gaining wisdom from each other’s areas of expertise. As a result, I am continually becoming a better therapist and the support I can give is continually getting stronger. Meet the additional members of your team.
